Quick answers before you generate
UPI, the Unified Payments Interface, is the instant payment system used across India. A UPI QR code holds a payment link with your UPI ID, so the payer's app opens a payment screen with your details already filled in. No typing of account numbers, no card needed.
The link follows the format upi://pay?pa=your-id@bank&pn=Your%20Name, with optional parts for the amount (am), the currency (cu, always INR) and a short note (tn). This generator builds that link for you and turns it into a QR code you can style and print.
Before you print, check three things: the UPI ID is exactly right, the name matches your business, and a test scan from a real UPI app opens the right payment screen. A wrong ID sends money to someone else.
